They approach someone, strike up a conversation, and then try to clinch the deal on their goods, services, or solutions.
It should come as no surprise that this endeavor fails. Give them an opportunity to get to know, like, and trust you. It is best to show that you genuinely want to get to know, like, and trust them.
After that, you can give them a chance to find out more about how you might be able to assist them.
