How To Get Recommendations Without Requesting Them

Today I want to discuss a method for getting referrals without ever having to ask for them. Imagine that you just finished a pleasant phone call or in-person encounter with a satisfied client.
Before you let them go, say “Hey, Bob, one last thing before I let you go, I’m so happy that you’re happy with what we’re doing with and for you. Many of my clients, like you, have friends and family who would also like the same outcomes, but they just don’t know where to go, what to do, or who to trust. I want to know more. Do you have similar acquaintances and relatives?”
The fact is, they already do! Your client is already aware of who to trust, what to do, and where to go—and that person is you. You then have the opportunity to proceed from there when they provide names of persons they want to refer. Enjoy your day.
